Our program seeks to enhance our male & female student-athlete’s lives by pursuing a rich and challenging professional training environment, and combining that with respect, a diverse population, and the compassion of a rugby family. Our goal is to be better everyday as an individual and a Rugby Club.

At the core of rugby are the values of respect, honor, diversity, discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship. These values are the building blocks for the LSUA program and will provide our student-athletes a rich developmental opportunity both on the field and throughout their lives. Both male and female players (for both 7’s & 15’s) will be introduced to the key behavioral, physical and mental components which will help them to reach higher levels of performance, and help the team achieve success.

Our curriculum will focus on four key components;  mental attributes, physical attributes, technical skill and game understanding in attack and defense. These components will be broken down into standards that will reflect the special skill set needs of each position. Each player will be mentored, encouraged and tested to allow him/her feedback of their development.  Tracking the development of our student-athletes is used to encourage the player to continue working on their skills, while also teaching them the responsibility of taking ownership in their development.
