Ms. LSU Alexandria Pageant offers a quality scholarship competition for female students. The winner of the Ms. LSU Alexandria Pageant earns a $1500 Chancellor’s Scholarship.  The First Runner-Up will receive a $1000  Chancellor’s Scholarship and the Second Runner-Up will receive a $500  Chancellor’s Scholarship.

Madison fruge' crowned Ms. Lsua 2018


In the 58th edition of the Ms. LSUA Pageant, Madison Fruge' came away with the crown and will represent the university at all official functions over the next year.

Madison is a sophomore Criminal Justice major from Plaucheville. She is a LSUA Student Ambassador and a member of the Criminal Justice Association. Her platform is "Maddie's Gifts of Hope: Healing Hearts One Smile at a Time."

The first runner-up in the pageant was Kelsie Artigue. Kelsie is a junior Business major from Krotz Springs.

  • Scholastic Achievement – Danielle McDowell
  • Miss Congeniality (voted on by the other contestants) – Tracy LaCaze
  • Miss Photogenic (voted by audience) – Kenyada Smith
  • Director’s Award – Tracy LaCaze
  • People’s Choice (voted on by the audience) – Madison Fruge'

The winner receives  $1,500 scholarship with the first runner-up receiving a $1,000 scholarship and the second runner-up getting a $500 scholarship.

The Ms. LSUA Pageant is open to all female students regardless of age or marital status. Contestants compete in casual and evening wear categories and answer a question pertaining to their platform topic. Each contestant also participates in an interview with three judges prior to the pageant.  All participants have a mentor from the university faculty or staff.
