LSUA Spring 2018 Enrollment

LSUA continues to see gains in enrollment.

LSUA is proud to announce the university continues to experience record setting student growth. 

Enrollment for the spring 2018 semester is up 3.86 percent over the previous spring semester and stands at 3,097 enrolled students. Spring 2017 saw an enrollment of 2,982.  

The most significant increase in student enrollment this semester comes from transfer students. Transfers are up 31.15 percent percent over the previous spring. Other enrollment gains are found in continuing students with 1.72 percent growth, and dual enrollment students representing a 5.40 percent rise. Additionally, the university is seeing a 66.94 percent increase in 100 percent online students from the previous spring. 

In response to the increase in enrollment, LSUA is experiencing its highest spring credit hour production in university history. Students are taking 31,909 credit hours this semester. 

"I am very proud of the hard work and dedication from the Department of Admissions as well as the entire faculty and staff,” says Chancellor Dr. Guiyou Huang. “LSUA is a university of choice and we are working hard to attract and retain high quality students. We look forward to what the future holds for the university.”

Along with the largest spring enrollment, the university continues to become more diverse. Currently, there are 997 minority students at the university and a record number of students from outside the state of Louisiana with 253 - up from 179 in spring 2017. Additionally, LSUA continues to be home to a number of international students hailing from 22 countries. 

LSUA reports enrollment on the 14th day of the semester.
